20 November 2010: Keller Claims First Feature Victory Author : Keller Racing
In only his third season of Sprintcar racing Brad Keller broke through for his maiden Sprintcar feature race victory last Saturday night as he captured round 3 of the Revolution Racegear Speedway City Track Championship. After starting on the third row of the grid Keller stormed his way to the front passing veteran Jamie Cobby mid through the race and from there it was all smooth sailing as he defeated defending Track Champion Luke Dillon and Victorian Ryan Davis.
“Once we got past (Jamie) Cobby I just had to go as quick as possible through lapped traffic as you never know how much of a lead you have. Then there were two red lights that bunched us up but we were able to hang on” added the elated winner following the event.
Although this was his was first victory it didn't really come as a huge surprise as Keller has been one of the most consistent South Australian performers this season, only narrowly missing the podium in both the Bill Wigzell Battle of the Bridge in October and the Australian Sprintcar Masters at Speedway City. “Including our final start last season we have had three fourths in our last five starts so we have been around the mark. Our team is getting better each week and everyone is getting along and they know their roles. Now we are looking forward to the huge challenge of racing during Christmas”.
But prior to the hectic Christmas period Keller will be back in action at Speedway City on December 4 for round 4 of the Track Championship.
In closing Brad mentioned that he would really like to thank the following corporate partners for their support in assisting the Keller Racing Team achieve their maiden Sprintcar Feature Race victory:
• Baines Engines
• ULX Oils
• Tinty Auto & Ag - Tintinara
• Spitwater
• Webb Haulage
• Fatchen Bulk Cartage
• Marshall Panel Beater
• Haughton Honda
• Auto King
