During the 2010/2011 season, Brad Keller will be competing in a 410 sprintcar assembled by the Keller Racing Team. The chassis, parts and engine are all imported from the USA and the car is then built ready for racing.

With a power to weight ratio that is greater than that of a Formula One Grand Prix car, sprintcars are among the most powerful racing cars in the world.

The Cars have a look that is truly distinctive, with large front and top wings that create a massive down force that enables the car to generate the traction required to negotiate the dirt surface. Importantly, they also act as a safety mechanism to cushion the impact in case of a rollover.

Each of these lightweight cars are powered by a 410ci purpose built aluminium block engine that produces 850 horsepower possessing blistering acceleration. Another characteristic is the difference in tyre circumference from the right rear to the left. The difference, or stagger, enables the car to negotiate the four left hand turns on a dirt track at close to 200kph!!!

Sprintcar racing is not a cheap sport in which to participate! The costs of building, maintaining the car are substantial. Sponsorship funds obtained go directly to subsidising these costs. Keller Racing Team funds the shortfall.
